Why play Futsal? The benefits are numerous!
1. More time on the ball per player because of the small court and fewer players, each player gets up to 300% more touches on the ball; which leads to developing a more technically sound player.
2. Players develop a higher soccer IQ because every player constantly moves and takes information from everywhere. Your player has to anticipate their opponent's moves and target the opposition's weaknesses.
3. The game (futsal) is faster than soccer. This aspect requires your player to think quickly due to the small space and constant pressure.
4. Players have to be creative and think outside of the box to thrive. This is perhaps the most important component of the sport.
5. Many of the best players in the world grew up playing futsal (Pele, Maradona, Messi, Ronaldo, Xavi, Mbappe , Neymar Jr. etc)
6. All of the skills developed in futsal easily translate into soccer and will make your player a very technically sound player in soccer.

The program is open to boys and girls.
When
What time of the year does the Fall program run?
The season begins in late September and runs from September to November 2025.
Where
Where are practices and games typically held?
Practices will take place at the Crystal Lake Middle School fields. The address is 2410 N. Crystal Lake Drive. Games will be at the Crystal Lake Middle Gymnasium on Saturday mornings.
Cost
What tis the cost of the recreational Spring Futsal program?
The season is $150 per player.
Practices
When are practices and how often are they?
Practices are typically once a week with games on Friday.
Jerseys
Are jerseys provided, or are they purchased separately?
A full uniform (jersey, shorts, and socks) will be provided with a completed registration fee.
Extra Costs
What costs beyond registration fees should be expected?
There will not be any additional costs as part of this league. There will be possible tournaments that selected players will be asked to participate in for an additional cost.
Games
How many games will they play? What days of the week?
Each team will have a minimum of six scheduled games for the season. Practices will usually be on Mondays and Thursdays. Games are on Saturday mornings.
